Welcome to our Eco-Schools page.

In 2014, St. Vincent’s Catholic School signed up to an awards programme set up by Eco-Schools London. The Eco-Schools programme has a simple framework which provides the tools to promote and develop sustainability throughout your school.

Our Eco-Schools coordinator is Mrs Purkis.

Since signing up, we have achieved a bronze award in February 2015 and are now working towards our silver award. At the moment, we are working towards achieving the silver award focusing on reducing our energy consumption.

Meet our Eco Council

Our Eco-Council is made up of children from our Year 2 – 6 classes. These children were selected by their class members at the beginning of the year. This year’s Eco-council members are:

Year 2 Year 3 Year 4 Year 5 Year 6
Mary-Ann Reyne Crea Gabrielle Richard
Chigozirim Kobie Liam Antonio Luke H

Upcoming news

As a council we are currently looking into running a poster competition throughout the school to promote switching off lights and energy sources when they aren’t needed. In the summer term our Year 6 class are also going to be looking into making items out of recycled materials to maybe sell at our Summer fete in July.
